Who is a Great Candidate for Invisalign?
If you have gaps in your teeth, crooked teeth, a narrow arch or protruding teeth, Invisalign is right for you. It replaces the use of traditional braces and all that they do.
Take a smile assessment now to see if you are a good candidate for Invisalign.
What to Expect
A full exam, to include radiographs and eradication of any tooth decay, will be performed at your initial appointment. We will evaluate your smile in order to review the results you strive to achieve. In order to document what you do not like about your smile, photos will be taken as well as impressions of your upper and lower teeth, using a material that is similar to putty.
The records that we create will be sent out to our partners at Invisalign. The process of preparing your customized Invisalign will take approximately 2 weeks, and then you will be called for a follow up appointment to review the treatment plan set up for your dental care. This is called The ClinCheck, and is a 3D simulation of the movement of your planned treatment. It will provide, in great detail, the movements of each tooth and the timeline we hope to have your new smile achieved in. After review with you, your Invisalign treatment will be sent to our office within a few days.
During your next treatment, we will attach tooth colored buttons, which are small attachments that anchor your teeth during movement. Their purpose is to turn, torque and push your teeth. The buttons will be removed once treatment is complete. We will then contour between your teeth in order to create space for movement. Once we are comfortable with the results, your first tray will be inserted and we will teach you how to put them in and remove them, as well as the cleaning process.
Two weeks following, the patient will return for a follow up assessment. At this appointment you will receive your next two trays. Our rechecks are approximately every two months through your treatment plan. Remember to wear your trays at least 22 hours a day in order for your successful treatment.
The final process of your plan is called Refinements. There are three refinements that help with adjustment for your final results. Once we are satisfied with your alignment you will be fitted for retainers and final photos will be taken.
You will be more confident in your smile after your treatments. Your desired result will be achieved and your teeth will be straight – and all without the hassle of metal braces!
