Descriptions

DENTAL TRAUMA

Losing a permanent tooth can be a very traumatic experience. There are many injuries that can cause a tooth to fall out. If this happens we suggest you first clean off the root as gently as possible, and if still intact use caution trying to put it back in place in the socket. Time is of the essence, if this is done within 30 min, studies show you have the highest possible success at saving the tooth. Other options are to use milk or saliva to store lost tooth. Please contact our office ASAP for an immediate appointment.

If you experience a broken tooth with pain please contact the office ASAP. Same-day appointments are very critical to resolving the problem.

DENTAL ABSCESS

A dental abscess is diagnosed by pain and swelling and could become dangerous if not treated in a timely manner. Please contact our office immediately for an appointment.

BLEEDING GUMS

Bleeding gums can be an indication of a serious health issue, especially if you are taking good care of your mouth with regular cleanings and checkups. Please contact our office immediately.

BROKEN CUSP OF A MOLAR

A broken cusp of a molar is not necessarily an emergency, however, if you are experiencing severe pain please call the office.

What to Expect

Dental emergencies can be handled in the office with a short exam. An X-ray is often taken to assess what the problem is. We will have a treatment plan after a quick exam and in order to get you back on track to a healthy smile.
