Halitosis Treatment

Bad breath, also known as Halitosis, can cause embarrassment and leave you feeling self-conscious. It is a frequent concern of oral health. We are here to help resolve this unpleasant experience and leave you with knowledge on how to prevent it in the future.

WHAT IS HALITOSIS?

Halitosis can be noticeable to both the individual and others around. The first step to resolving this issue is a comprehensive exam performed at the office, to identify the cause of the Halitosis. Most often it is caused by poor oral hygiene or food particles that are stuck in gums or teeth. It can also be an indication of gum disease or other medical conditions.

What to Expect

In most cases the treatment of Halitosis is easily resolved by brushing your teeth and tongue twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste. This will remove plaque and food debris build-up. Following a proper routine for dental health can significantly decrease gum bleeding and eliminate bad breath.
